Backlight products have a wide range of applications, so how do these manufacturers choose a good material?

The existing backlight is basically composed of an LED light source, a light guide plate, a reflector, a diffuser, a prism light-enhancing plate, and a fixing bracket. The light guide plate is a very important component of the backlight. The light guide plate is mainly used to The linear light source emitted by the LED light source is uniformly and completely reflected to the diffuser and the above components to form a surface light source, thereby illuminating the entire backlight source. It can be seen that the performance of the backlight source mainly depends on the light guide plate in most cases.

The existing light guide plate uses optical grade acrylic/PC sheet, and then uses high-tech materials with high reflectivity and non-light absorption to print light guide dots on the bottom surface of the optical grade acrylic sheet with UV screen printing technology. The optical grade acrylic sheet is used to absorb the light emitted from the lamp and stays on the surface of the optical grade acrylic sheet. When the light hits each light guide point, the reflected light will spread to all angles, and then destroy the reflection condition and shoot out from the front of the light guide plate.

The light guide plate can emit light evenly through a variety of dense and different light guide points. The distribution of the light scattering dot matrix on the bottom surface of the light guide plate determines the light output performance of the light guide plate. Its production process has been transformed from the early screen printing process to the integrated injection molding process; the micro lens array and micro prism array technology have become the mainstream of high-end light guide plate design Technology, mold processing accuracy has reached the micron level; another development trend of light guide plate is integrated design, in order to achieve the purpose of reducing and eliminating optical films, reducing material costs, and achieving light and thin backlight systems.
