The LCD display screen is a liquid crystal cell placed between two parallel glass substrates. TFT (thin film transistor) is set on the lower substrate glass, and a color filter is set on the upper substrate glass. The liquid crystal molecules are controlled by the signal and voltage changes on the TFT. The direction of rotation, so as to achieve the display purpose by controlling whether the polarized light of each pixel point is emitted or not.

The LED liquid crystal screen is a display panel composed of a large number of light-emitting diodes, which is equivalent to a small light-emitting diode for each pixel. Compared with LCD, the LED display adopts low-voltage scanning drive, which has: less power consumption , Long service life, low cost, high brightness, less failure, large viewing angle, long visual distance, etc.

At present, the LED display on the market is not a true LED display. To be precise, it is an LED-backlit liquid crystal display. The liquid crystal panel is still a traditional LCD display. In a sense, this is more or less fraudulent. The nature of Samsung! South Korea's Samsung company was once convicted by the British Advertising Association as violating the country's advertising laws because its "LEDTV" LCD TV was suspected of misleading consumers.

For liquid crystal displays, the most important key is its LCD panel and backlight type, while the LCD panels of displays on the market generally use TFT panels, which are the same. The difference between LED LCD screens and LCD displays is only their backlight type The difference: LED backlight and CCFL backlight (that is, fluorescent lamp), respectively, are diodes and cold cathode lamps.

In general, LCD is a liquid crystal drive display screen, and LED is a light-emitting diode drive display screen.
